In addition to the many activities and attractions in Cambridge, Maungatautari Ecological Trust, Lake Karapiro, and Mystery Creek Event Center to name a few, several of the main Tourist attractions in New Zealand are approximately one hours drive from Cambridge e.g. Hobbiton,Waitomo, Rotorua, Tauranga, and Otorohanga, Raglan.
